Disposition: Redd Pest Control Company, Inc. (Redd) sued Weathersby Chevrolet Company, Inc. (Weathersby) in the Circuit Court of Sunflower County claiming negligent repairs to one of its service trucks and recovered a judgment in the amount of $18,217.39. Weathersby's Motion for Judgement Notwithstanding the Verdict, or in the Alternative, for a New Trial, was denied. Weathersby then appealed, and in a 5-4 decision, the Court of Appeals held that the jury's finding of negligence was based purely on speculation and conjecture and reversed and rendered the judgment.

Note: THE JUDGMENT OF THE COURT OF APPEALS IS REVERSED.
