Summary of the Facts: Bennie Stroud, Jr. pled guilty in 1997 to the charges of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a felon, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He filed a motion for post-conviction relief which was denied as time barred. He appeals.

Summary of Opinion Analysis: Stroud pled guilty on March 5, 1997. He filed his first motion for post-conviction collateral relief in October 1997, and it was denied. Not only is Stroud’s motion time barred but it is barred as a successive writ.
